With the holiday season just around the corner, now is the time to make sure your site is in perfect order.

Here is a quick pointer to help you in preparing for the holiday rush:

- Does your site strand users?

Many Yahoo! Merchant Solution and Yahoo! Store owners still use the default click-to-enlarge. While it is useful for your customers to see enlarged images of your products, it strands them on a page where the only way to get back to your site is to hit the back button. To make matters worse, some customers might think that the image popped-up into a new browser… when they exit that browser, they also exit your site!

RedSand Web Design offers two custom solutions that will prevent this from happening.

The first custom solution is our basic click-to-enlarge, which pop’s up a new browser window that is sized small enough that your site is still visible beneath. This makes it clear that the user is supposed to close that window to continue browsing your store.

The second custom solution we offer is our advanced click-to-enlarge. Instead of using windows at all, which can sometimes be blocked by pop-up blockers… it uses a layering technology. This technology is 100% pop-up blocker proof and the best part, the user never leaves the page they are on thus reducing confusion and improving conversions!
